The Second Annual Capital Burlsque Expo

In April of 2014 the Capital Burlesque Expo showed Ottawa that Burlesque is a bona fide art form and has much more than just a small underground following here in the Nation’s Capital! Burlesque dancers and vaudeville performers traveled from across the country and over the border to be a part of one magical weekend. More than 50 talented and passionate artists graced the three stages of the first annual Capital Burlesque Expo. On April 10th, 11th and 12th of 2015 Ottawa’s most revealing revival is back. Come and be a part of Ottawa burlesque history!

On Saturday, February 9th Koston made the trip to Jim Thorpe, PA for Jaqueline Hyde's star-studded burlesque show Valentease at the stunning Mauch Chunk Opera House! This beautiful show evening's emcee was none other than the fabulous World Famous *BOB*! The show featured burlesque royalty, Miss Indigo Blue and Angie Pontani as well as superstars, Jo "Boobs" Weldon, Harvest Moon, and Tansy Tan Dora, with local cuties, Bunny Bedford and Brandi Wine!

Ottawa is a beautiful city, but it's not exactly known for it's amazing live entertainment venues. That said, Capital Tease has just announced that Back To The Grind, a nod to the glory days of burlesque, will take place at Barrymore's Music Hall! Barrymore's was once the Imperial Theater and opened it's doors in August of 1914 as a regal cinema. The theater closed it's doors in 1955 and was used as warehouse space for some time. In 1970 the building was renamed Pandora's Box, the nation's capital's first strip club, and Canada's first fully nude club. Capital Tease is excited to bring the girly show glamour back to to this space on March 23rd!

This year Great Canadian Girlesque Expo grew in to a three day event jam packed with burlesque of all kinds! Koston was thrilled to return after her debut at the annual ​event in 2012. Once again unveiling a brand new act at Girlesque, nerves were high! Last year "Red Handed" was the second act of a one night show. This year Tango De Koston was the second last act of a three day expo, followed by Coco Lecric's gorgeous finale. With the Virgin Mobile Mod Club full to the brim with some of the biggest names in burlesque today and with Tiffany Carter and Tempest Storm sitting in VIP, it was absolutely a highlight in Miss Kreme's burlesque career!
